Retired Officer John Heck authors book

Retired Dayton police officer John Heck authored a book in 2012 that recounts his career in a chronological compilation of 59 short stories.  These accounts begin with 'Big John' being appointed in 1959 and move through the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s.  He gives tribute to 68 police officers with whom he served.

A February 8, 2012 customer review by William Mann:  "Eye-catching"...

"What I enjoyed the most was the comparisons of the family and the police incidents that the Author imparts to the reader. I could not put this read down, and read it through to the end. Enjoyable stories were all around you. A bargain at the price."
